LOUISVILLE, Ky.—The Bellarmine Dance team opened its 2016-17 season—as has become tradition—at the NDA (National Dance Alliance) Dance Camp held July 31-Aug. 2 at the University of Louisville.  The squad earned multiple recognitions including a second place finish in Division II and a silver bid to NDA nationals in Daytona Beach this coming spring.

In the Division II level, Grand Valley State University took first place, just ahead of Bellarmine.  Other top competitors included: Davenport University (3rd), University of Southern Indiana (4th), and Wayne State (5th).

Several individuals also were singled out for special awards with Allie Gardner, Diana Bell, and Morgan Merrill earning NDA All-America honors while Megan Bryan picked up an All American nomination.  The NDA considers the qualities of leadership, spirit, technique and showmanship when selecting the All-American team members.
