The final foursome of Kathleen Baker, Lilly King, Dana Vollmer and Simone Manuel combined for a 3:53.13 for the gold. It came down to a race for the silver and bronze between Australia, Denmark, China, and Canada. The Australians edged the rest of the field with a combined time of 3:55.00.
