LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Spalding University women’s soccer team has been tabbed second in the SLIAC Preseason Coach’s Poll. The Golden Eagles return 10 starters from last season’s team that finished 10-5-2 overall taking home the runner up spot in the SLIAC regular season standings with 7-1-1 mark in conference play.

The Spalding offense will be led by senior forward Dee Dee Sliter. Sliter enters her senior campaign looking to become only the second player in conference history to be a three-time SLIAC Player of the Year after winning the award in 2014 and 2015, as well as being named Newcomer of the Year in 2013. In 2015, Sliter led the Golden Eagles with a SLIAC best 17 goals while passing out three assists. Also returning for SU is the talented junior duo of Madison Ratchford and Baylee Tabler. Ratchford, a SLIAC Second Team All-Conference member tallied 26 points last season with 10 goals and six assists.
