Track and Field Team of the Year:  Louisville Male

To sweep the region and go on to win state is no easy feat. But this past spring, Louisville Male’s girls’ track and field team took home their eighth-straight Seventh Region title and first state title since 1972.

At the KHSAA Class 3A state track meet, the Bulldogs scored 94 points with first-place finishes in five events: 100m, 200m, 400m, 4 x 100m relay, and triple jump. Recent graduate Taliyah Townsend swept those 100m, 200m, and 400m dashes.

The Bulldogs compete under the leadership of head coach Sheree Beaumont, who has been involved in the program since 1980.

Join us as we celebrate Male and a host of other team and individual winners at WISH on Sept. 20! For ticket information, click here.
