Bowling Team of the Year:  Louisville Male

The Louisville Male girls’ bowling program recorded an outstanding 2016 season to notch our bowling team award at this year’s Women In Sports Honors. The Lady Bulldogs won the Region 4 title. They were also the only school in the region to have three individual finishers place in the top 10 of singles competition.

In the state tournament, the only Louisville-area girls’ team to make it past the first round was Male. And for individual bowlers, the Bulldogs’ Kayla Shannon finished 2nd overall with a score of 1,096 across five games. Teammate Sydney Underwood placed 21st with a score of 536, and rounding out the top 32 girls at state was Male’s Tayler Denney, who placed 30th with a score of 484.

Join us as we celebrate Male bowling and a host of other team and individual winners at WISH on Sept. 20! For ticket information, click here.
