Butler ranked No.1, three other area schools ranked in AP poll

Butler’s basketball team received every single first place vote except for one in this week’s Associated Press Poll. The Bearettes won four games in four days last week to win their second straight LIT title and third in four years.

Male is ranked No. 2 and won three of its four games in the LIT before losing to Butler in the championship game.

Sacred Heart moved up three spots from last week’s after advancing to LIT Saturday for the first time in three years. The Valkyries took down Mercy and Simon Kenton before losing to Butler in the semifinals.

Manual dropped a spot after being upset by Bullitt East in the quarterfinals of the LIT.
