Bellarmine welcomes back Klutka as head coach of dance team

From Bellarmine

Bellarmine University announced today that Janine Klutka will re-assume her role as head coach of the Bellarmine Dance Team, effective immediately.

Klutka served as the Bellarmine head coach for 13 seasons before stepping away from the top spot last year to serve as the assistant coach for Erin Thompson. However, Thompson recently resigned her head coaching position, opening the door for Klutka to once again take the reins of the Bellarmine Dance program.

In her previous tenure as head coach, Klutka helped guide the Knights to compete at the national level. After earning several third and fourth place finishes under her leadership, the Knights Dance Team placed first at the 2015 NDA Collegiate National Division II Championship, a first for the program.

Klutka, who holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Bellarmine, has a dance background that includes high school coaching experience, 10 years of studio training, as well as eight years of competing on high school and collegiate dance teams.
