The Bellarmine University Dance team once again qualified for the National Dance Alliance Collegiate national competition with its performance at the recent NDA summer camp. Additionally, two Bellarmine dancers—senior Elizabeth Dugan and freshman Kielee Gonzalez–were named as NDA All-Americans.
Sixteen other collegiate dance teams attended camp, which was held at the University of Louisville. The Knights received a ranking of “superior” in the “Team Performance” competition. They also participated in the “Game Day Run-Off.” (Links to both performances are below.)
“Pin It Forward” pins were awarded to BU dancers Emma Rhodes and Gonzalez for the positive impression they made at camp.
Individuals competing at the summer camp for Bellarmine included seven freshmen (Olivia Beechem, Madison Brady, Kielee Gonzalez, Megan Justice, Emma Nolan, McKenzie Ricklefs, and Emma Rhodes) and two seniors (Elizabeth Dugan and Holly Kirwan). Junior Amy Walker was unavailable to compete at the summer camp.
