Little Flock Christian Academy Blog (week one)

Brian Simpson is the parent of a player on the Little Flock Christian Academy basketball team and is going to do a weekly blog post about theteam. If you’re interested in doing a weekly blog post about your team, feel free to email Conor Revell at

I’m very proud to have the opportunity to share each week the ups and downs of our girls basketball program at Little Flock Christian Academy in Bullitt County.

We are led by coaches Jimmy and Kimberly James and currently field JV and Varsity teams with a total of 14 girls ranging from the sixth to eighth grade. Our season began three weeks ago and our Varsity girls sit at 8-3 on the year as we roll into December! We average two to three games a week and our coaches do their best to squeeze in as many practices as possible to keep the girls on their toes.

Scheduling is always tough as we play teams ranging from Madison, Ind. to Oldham County Ky. with so many opponents sprinkled in between distance wise. When we travel, we bring the house fans wise. Our coach when asked about future opponents, “We will play anybody…anywhere!”

This year we also were able to schedule a couple Jefferson County Public Schools for the first time and hope next season we can get an invite to some of the local Jamborees put on by JCPS teams. You should have a vision of who we are as of today and I look forward to sharing more updates on our season for the LFCA Lady Lions!
