Louisville dance teams win six state titles

The KHSAA held their first ever state dance competition this past Friday and Saturday at Frederick Douglass High School in Lexington.

Assumption, Eastern, Manual, Male (two), and Sacred Heart were Louisville schools that won state championships.

Manual won the Small Hip Hop Division championship with a score of 91.8, barely nudging out Daviess County (90.725).

Assumption won the Small Jazz Division championship with a score of 89.58, beating out Eastern (84.63).

Sacred Heart won the Large Jazz Division championship with a score of 90.43, barely beating out Lafayette (89.20).

Male won the Large Hip Hop Division championship, beating out Lafayette (84.33), and also won the Large Pom Division championship with a score of 81.30, barely beating out Highlands (80.15).

Easter won the Small Pom Division championship with a 86.325 score, beating out Henry Clay (80.875).
