Little Flock Christian Academy Blog (week six)

School is back in session and the Lady Lions officially returned to the court with a visit to Our Savior Lutheran for a match up with the Lady Panthers!

The game began kinda sluggish which can be expected with the almost two week layoff since our last game. Seventh grader Reagan DeMussey got us off with a quick four pts and a deep three by Allison Spieker got us a 7-6 lead after the 1st period.

The second period was a great defensive job as we held the Lady Panthers scoreless. Eighth grader Kendall Chapman muscled in four pts and a three by our point guard Kaiden James gave us a 14-6 halftime lead.

The 2nd half picked right up where we left off, the defense just took over once again holding the Lady Panthers scoreless as the combination of James/DeMussey and Emma Burton pushed us to a 24-6 lead.

The Lady Lions went on to win 31-16 after a last second half court buzzer beater by Spieker finished the scoring for us as we pushed our record to 11-4 on the season.

We have a JV game scheduled against Highlands-Latin on Jan. 11 and a matchup with St Francis with on Jan. 12. Those games will be covered next week.  That’s all from Lion nation, hope everyone dodges the snow and has a great weekend.
