Little Flock Christian Academy Blog (week nine)

Brian Simpson is the parent of a player on the Little Flock Christian Academy basketball team and is going to do a weekly blog post about the team. If you’re interested in doing a weekly blog post about your team, feel free to email Conor Revell at conor.revell@gmail.com.

The Little Flock Christian Academy Lady Lions season is quickly coming to an end. This past weekend was a rough one for us.  We participated in the Our Savior Lutheran 27th annual Roundball Classic.

We started off with our third meeting with the Collegiate Amazon’s! We have lost the last two meetings with them so we were looking forward to our last chance for a win against them. This game was close the entire time, neither team giving an inch to the other.  We entered the final quarter down by six and our girls answered with everything they had.

Eighth grader Emma Burton scored with 4 seconds left to give us the win and we advanced to the winner’s side and a matchup against Portland Christian! We were ready, until the game began it seemed because we were outplayed by a great batch of girls the entire game and lost 26-16 which moved us to the loser’s side.

We played CAL and once again we didn’t bring it. Two games in a row and we couldn’t get our offense going and lost 30-17. It was a tough weekend. We head home for our Eighth Grade Night on Feb. 1 hoping to regroup!
