The Assumption, Ballard, Butler,  Holy Cross, Male, Mercy, and Oldham County softball teams are ranked in this week’s Kentucky Prep Softball Coaches Top 25.

Male is No. 4 with a 6-3 record and beat Assumption, Floyd Central (Ind.), Bullitt East, and Sellersburg (Ind.) this past week.

Ballard is No. 6 with a 9-1 record and beat Jeffersontown, Carmel (Ind.), Manual, and Eastern this past week.

Mercy is No. 8 with a 6-1 record. The Jaguars nudged past No. 23 Assumption and whipped Sacred Heart 10-0 last week.

Holy Cross is No. 11 with a 10-3 record and beat Collins, North Oldham, Meade County, Ashland Blazer, and Johnson Central and lost a heartbreaker to No. 2 East Carter.

Oldham County is No. 15 with a 12-1 record and beat Bath County, Eastern, Collins, and Henry County this past week.

Butler is No. 16 with a 9-3 record and beat Presentation, Moore, Boyle County, and Woodford County this past week but lost to East Carter.

Assumption is No. 23 with a 9-5 record and beat No. 12 South Warren and Spencer County but lost Collins, Male, and Mercy.
