Spalding University’s Kaylin Rucker, a Pleasure Ridge Park alum, was named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Softball Hitter of the Week.

Rucker led an explosive Golden Eagles attack that reached double figures in scoring in all four games going 4-0 on the week. Rucker hit .600 with two home runs and 12 runs batted in.

She picked up multiple hits in all four games including three hits in the game one win over Principia. Rucker also had multiple RBI in all four contests with a high of four in a game one win over Berea. She finished 9-of-15 at the plate with eight runs scored and a 1.333 slugging percentage for the week.

Rucker and the Golden Eagles will be back in action at home Friday afternoon taking on Blackburn College at 3:00 pm EST.
