Aug. 20 – Mercy at Sacred Heart, 7 p.m. – These two rivals will battle. It’s a possible state tournament matchup and it’s almost guaranteed to be a No. 2 vs. No. 3 matchup.
Aug. 28, 7 p.m. – Manual at Male, 7 p.m. – It doesn’t matter what sport it is, when ever these two rivals play each other, the Bulldog and Crimson communities will come out in droves to ensure that they get bragging rights this upcoming season.
Aug. 29 – Sacred Heart at Assumption, 7 p.m. – These two teams are the top dawgs in the Seventh Region year-in and year-out. This year is certain to be the same and this is the first chance to see one of the top three programs battle.
Sep. 4 – Mercy at Assumption, 7 p.m. – Round one.It’s a rematch of last year’s state championship game and a possible state tournament game this year if both teams survive their regional tournament. Expect this to be a No. 1 vs. No. 2 showdown.
Sep. 6 – Bullitt East at Bullitt Central, 7 p.m. – These two rivals have two of the best records in the Sixth Region behind Mercy. Not to mention these two teams are in the same school district and are rivals.
Sep. 7 & 8 – The Louisville Volleyball Invitational Tournament – The top teams from around the country will fight for an LVIT title at the Ohio Valley Volleyball Center. It’s sure to be a battle.
Sep. 17 – These two rivals had two of the best records in the Sixth Region behind Mercy. Not to mention these two teams are in the same school district and are rivals.
Sep. 22 – Assumption at Sacred Heart, 5 p.m. – Rematch time. It’s the last chance for each team to battle. The next time these two teams would see each other, a trip to the state tournament will be on the line.
Sep. 25 – North Oldham at Oldham County, 7:30 p.m. – Remember the last time these two teams played? North Oldham was down 2-0 and won the next three games to capture their third straight Eighth Region title. Well, this will be the first time these two teams will have faced each other since that fateful day.
Sep. 26 – Sacred Heart at Mercy, 7 p.m. – It’s a rematch as these two rivals who will both likely be in the top-three tuneup and fine tune their skills before postseason play starts a few weeks later.
Oct. 4 – Assumption at Mercy, 7 p.m. – Round two. These two rivals will play in the final week of the regular season. By then we will know whether or not these two teams could play in the state title game or earlier in the state tournament.
