Former Butler softball star Hailey Whitmer made noise as a pitcher and slugger at the high school level.
Now, she’s making noise as a Norse at Northern Kentucky University.
Whitmer played in 43 games, making 38 starts between first base and the designated player as a freshman.
She batted .245 with 24 hits and 11 RBI. Whitmer clubbed six doubles and had her first career home run, her only homer as a freshman, to lift NKU to a road win at Cleveland State.
The former Bearette also had four multi-hit games and two multi-RBI games, and posted a four-game hitting streak.
