Bullitt Central alum sets new record

The Spalding University women’s cross country team raced to a 34th place finish Saturday in The Greater Louisville Classic at E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park.

HOW IT HAPPENED
– Junior Kelsey Phillips led the Spalding runners. The junior blazed to a new school 5k record finishing 21st out of 346 contestants with a time of 19:47:9.
– Victoria Shedron was the next Golden Eagle to finish placing 156th with a time of 21:41:3.
– Grace Childress 24:04:5, Haley Nestor 24:39:9, and Grace Peterworth 30:35:3 rounded out Spalding’s scoring runners.

UP NEXT
– The Golden Eagles travel to Wilmington, OH on October 12 to compete in the Jennastrong Fall Classic hosted by Wilmington College.
