JCTMS, Conway, Meyzeek and Crosby Take District Titles

The JCPS girls’ middle school basketball district finals concluded on Feb. 9. Four district finals were played at Ramsey Middle.

Jefferson County Traditional Middle School (JCTMS) defeated Newburg 38-14 in the South District Championship. Eighth grader Erin Toller and 7th grader Alana Striverson led JCTMS.

Conway defeated Farnsley 52-50 for the West District title. Conway was led by 8th grader Mariah Jones and 7th grader Taylor Price.

Meyzeek defeated Noe 43-29 in the North District championship. Eighth grader Olivia Lawson and 6th grader Amaya Asher led Meyzeek.

And Crosby claimed the East District championship over Kammerer, 45-20. Crosby was led by 8th grader Destinee Marshall.

Next up is the the 2016 ClassAct Junior LIT Girls Championship. Quarterfinals begin on Feb. 12 at 3:30 p.m. The semifinals will take place on Feb. 13 at 12 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. The championship game will be later that day at 4:30 p.m. All games will be held at Ramsey Middle.

LIT Quarterfinals, Feb. 12

3:30 p.m. – Meyzeek vs. Farnsley
5 p.m. – Crosby vs. Newbury
6:30 p.m. – JCTMS vs. Noe
8 p.m. – Conway vs. Kammerer
