IT’S THAT CALM DEMEANOR THAT GETS HER THROUGH THE REALITIES OF FOSTER CARE. IT GETS DIFFICULT WHEN YOU DON’T KNOW WHICH HOUSE YOU’RE GOING TO LIVE IN OR WHERE YOU’RE GOING TO BE ADOPTED. BUT THEN, LIKE, ONCE YOU’RE CALM AND READY TO BE THERE. AND YOU’VE ACCEPTED THE CHALLENGES AND THINGS, THEN YOU’RE KIND OF THERE. EMILY DESCRIBES HERSELF AS FUNNY, FRIENDLY AND CHILL. I LIKE PLAYING FOOTBALL WITH THE BOYS THAT I USUALLY HANG OUT WITH AT SCHOOL. I’M. I’M ARTSY. I LIKE CRAFTS. Emily, 15, isn’t rattled by much.That calm demeanor is what gets her through the realities of foster care. “It gets difficult when you don’t know which house you’re going to live in, or where you’re going to be adopted,” she said.
