Hundreds of fans are enjoying the PGA Championship with an exclusive experience from the hospitality venues.“We've maxed this place out and set the record for the most hospitality sold for any PGA championship in our 106 years,” said Larry Sinclair, director of hospitality sales. “That’s pretty impressive for Louisville, Kentucky.”Also impressive are the amenities for this year's PGA hospitality, from the suites to the chalets, that PGA officials say have been sold out for two years.The views of the green from the patio are stunning, the endless food and drinks are refreshing, and the venues are convenient on a steamy day like Thursday.“It's nice to cool off, and the TVs in here let you keep up with some of the action on the course, too,” said David Wombwell, a market leader for U.S. Bank.Wombwell's company is one of more than 200 experiencing PGA inside venues like the Champions Club and Club PGA with 70% being from Kentucky.Sinclair believes it says a lot about the commonwealth's love for golf and business.“In this club alone, we have 85 companies and they're networking, socializing, not only with their guests, but other guests,” he said. “We have 12 hours of golf, so you're going to really get to know your customers here and lots of business is getting done here on the golf course.”When deals aren't being closed, hospitality ticketholders are laser-focused on the course. From what they say, they have the best seat in Valhalla for the championship.“We're all here to watch golf, and the faster we can eat, drink, and get back on the course, the better,” Wombwell said.
