Fans follow their favorite players during first round of PGA Championship
The people at the opening round of the PGA Championship at Valhalla said it was hard not to have a good time.
"It's awesome, I love it. I love coming to the PGA Championships," Tracy Jackson said.
Jackson came all the way from Virginia to meet her uncle from Michigan to watch the PGA Championship here in Louisville.
"We both golf. My dad passed away almost 20 years ago, and they golfed together a lot. So we're kind of a family of golfers, and this is something we do together," she said.
Clair Tidmore of Louisville came out with her daughters for the first day of tournament play.
"It's so fun. It's great. The past couple weeks have been awesome here in Louisville with the Derby and now PGA," Tidmore said. "I came out yesterday to watch the practice rounds and wanted to bring the girls out so they can experience all the cool things Louisville has to offer."
For many spectators out on the course, the company they kept was as important as the golfers they watched.
