Wednesday’s Child: Ambitious teen hopes to share her passion with forever family
HOPE FOR A CARING ADOPTIVE FAMILY. 17 YEAR OLD EMMA IS STARTING HER SENIOR YEAR IN HIGH SCHOOL. EXCITING, OVERWHELMING, NERVE WRACKING. DESPITE BACK TO SCHOOL NERVES, EMMA SAYS SHE WOULD LIKE TO GRADUATE EARLY. SHE’S EAGER TO GET A HEAD START ON INDEPENDENT LIVING COLLEGE AND THE PURSUIT OF A SPECIAL PASSION. I WANT TO MAJOR IN MUSIC, VOCAL MUSIC AND MINOR IN NURSING. I LOVE TO SING. IT’S JUST A NATURAL THING. I’VE BEEN SINGING SINCE MY MOM SAYS. I’VE BEEN SINGING SINCE I WAS MAKING SOUNDS. OH. HE EASY ON ME, BABY. I WAS STILL A CHILD. DIDN’T GET THE CHANCE TO. SEE THE WORLD AROUND ME. AT 17, EMMA IS CLOSE TO AGING OUT OF FOSTER CARE, BUT SHE STILL SEES THE VALUE IN ESTABLISHING A FOUNDATION WITH A FOREVER FAMILY. I JUST WANT THEM TO ACTUALLY CARE AND SHOW ME THAT THEY LOVE ME, EVEN IF IT’S IN LIKE THE SIMPLE WORDS OF I LOVE YOU, BECAUSE THAT’S ONE THING I NEVER REALLY GOT AS A KID. SOMEONE WHO WILL BE THERE FOR ME IN MY ROUGHEST DAYS. FO
