Wednesday’s Child: Easy-going 12-year-old girl wants a caring adoptive family

Wednesday’s Child: Easy-going 12-year-old girl wants a caring adoptive family
RIGHT DANIELLE, THANK YOU FOR THAT. YEAH. ALL RIGHT. FOR DECADES, WLKY HAS HELPED LOCAL CHILDREN FIND FOREVER HOMES THROUGH THE WEDNESDAY’S CHILD PROGRAM. AND THIS WEEK, OUR CHRISTINA MORA INTRODUCES US TO A SWEET 12 YEAR OLD GIRL WHO WOULD LOVE TO FIND THE RIGHT ADOPTIVE FAMILY FOR HER AND POSSIBLY HER YOUNGER BROTHER AS WELL. I LOVE COOKING, I’M SMART, I LOVE SCHOOL, I AM CARING, I LOVE TO CLEAN, I LOVE HAVING FRIENDS. 12 YEAR OLD TAMIA ENJOYS HER FRIENDS, BUT HER FAVORITE PERSON TO SPEND TIME WITH IS HER YOUNGER BROTHER. I SEE HIM SOMETIMES, BUT IT DEPENDS ON WHAT’S GOING ON IN THAT PARTICULAR MOMENT. AND FOR 11 YEAR OLD AJ, THE FEELING IS MUTUAL. BECAUSE I CAN TALK TO MY SISTER AND SHE’S THE BEST PERSON ON EARTH I’VE EVER WANTED TO BE WITH. WE FIRST MET AJ, A YEAR AGO WHEN HE IMPRESSED US WITH HIS POSITIVE ATTITUDE AND STRONG WORK ETHIC. HOW ARE YOUR GRADES? A A A B? KENTUCKY’S CHILD WELFARE WORKERS TRY TO KEEP SIBLING GROUPS TOGETHER WHEN APPROPRIATE, BUT EVERY CASE IS DIFFERENT AND BEING PLACED TOGETHER ISN’T ALWAYS AN OPTION. TIMAYA IS OPEN TO ANY FAMILY THAT WILL ACCEPT AND SUPPORT HER. I WOULD LIKE THEM TO BE CARING, UNDERSTANDING AND MOST OF ALL CAREFUL. RIGHT NOW, TIMAYA AND AJ ARE NOT LIVING TOGETHER, BUT THEY BOTH UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE OF THEIR VISITS AND THEY BOTH LOOK FORWARD TO A MORE STABLE FUTURE. FOR WLKY AND WEDNESDAY’S CHILD, I’M CHRISTINA MORA. CHRISTINA. THANK YOU. IF YOU’D LIKE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT TIMAYA AND AJ OR KENTUCKY’S ADOPTION AND FOSTER CARE SYSTEM, CLI
