COUNTY CLERKS SAY GETTING A REAL ID IS WORTH IT, BECAUSE WHEN YOU ARE VOTING, IT CUTS DOWN ANY CONFUSION THAT’S HAPPENING WITH THAT. WHEN YOU’RE TRYING TO TRANSFER A CAR, IT’S REALLY BEST BEFORE YOU DO ANY OF THOSE PROCESSES TO HAVE WHAT YOU NEED, OR AT LEAST CALL THE OFFICE TO FIND OUT WHAT YOU NEED AND TO GET A REAL ID. HERE’S WHAT YOU WILL NEED A PROOF OF IDENTITY, LIKE A BIRTH CERTIFICATE OR A PASSPORT. A SOCIAL SECURITY CARD OR TAX FORMS SHOWING YOUR NUMBER AND PROOF OF RESIDENCY LIKE A UTILITY BILL, LEASE AGREEMENT, OR MAYBE A BANK STATEMENT. ALSO, IF YOU’VE CHANGED YOUR NAME, YOU’LL NEED DOCUMENTATION FOR THAT AS WELL, LIKE A MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE. AND IF YOU DON’T MAKE THE DEADLINE, DON’T PANIC.
