Universal Studios has released the first trailer for Christopher Nolan's film adaptation of “The Odyssey.”The legendary epic, written by ancient Greek poet Homer, follows the hero Odysseus as he travels back to Greece after the Trojan War.The trailer shows Odysseus, played by Matt Damon, facing various trials with his soldiers on the long, treacherous journey.Damon leads a star-studded cast that includes Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Tom Holland, Charlize Theron, and John Leguizamo.Nolan wrote the script, directed the film, and produced it alongside his wife, Emma Thomas.“The Odyssey” hits theaters July 17.
