Great White was scratched from the Kentucky Derby after bucking off his jockey and falling to the ground as he was being led to the gate. Moments before the running of the Kentucky Derby, Great White reared up, dumping jock Alex Achard on the track, and twisted around, throwing himself on his back. Great White got up and was led away from the gate.Trainer John Ennis said, “He’s doing fine. Tough game, but we’re thankful he came out of it OK.” after Great White was checked out by veterinarians at the track. Great White was entered into the Kentucky Derby after Silent Tactic was scratched due to a foot injury.
