TODAY, MAYOR CRAIG GREENBERG ANNOUNCED A $1.5 MILLION INVESTMENT FROM THE JAMES GRAHAM BROWN FOUNDATION. THE MONEY WILL SUPPORT THRIVE BY FIVE LOUISVILLE. There's a big new boost for Louisville's push to expand early learning.Mayor Craig Greenberg announced a $1.5 million investment from the James Graham Brown Foundation.The money will support "Thrive by 5 Louisville."Greenberg says the private investment will help even more families."This extraordinary, generous gift is going to help expand high-quality early learning experiences for kids all across our city and provide a foundation for Thrive by 5 that it needs to succeed," he said.The gift comes as the mayor is also proposing another $3.5 million in his budget for the program.In April, Thrive by 5 launched a scholarship pilot to help 225 3 and 4-year-olds.It covers all or part of early learning costs for qualifying working families.
