A driver is facing charges after a head-on crash left a man dead and a woman in critical condition in Nelson County.Kentucky State Police were called to assist on a crash on Highway 245 around 4:15 p.m.The preliminary investigation shows Teudis Hernandez, 51, of Louisville, was heading south when he crossed the center lane and hit a car head-on.The driver of the other car, 79-year-old Edward Horvan, died at the scene. The passenger, a woman, was taken to the hospital in critical condition.Hernandez was arrested and charged with: Murder Assault, 1st Degree Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol/Substances, 1st Offense Operating on a Suspended or Revoked License Failure to Produce Insurance CardHe was treated for minor injuries before being taken to the Nelson County Jail.
