Tom Kane, the voice actor behind characters on "Star Wars" and "The Powerpuff Girls," died Monday, according to his talent agency. He was 64.Kane was known for "unforgettable performances in Star Wars to countless animated series, documentaries, and games" and "brought wisdom, strength, humor, and heart to every role he touched," a statement from Galactic Productions says. According to Kane's IMDb page, he began doing voiceover work at 15 and, over the course of his career, he voiced legendary characters like Yoda in "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" and Admiral Ackbar in "Star Wars: The Last Jedi." He also provided the voice of Professor Utonium in Cartoon Network's "The Powerpuff Girls" from 2016 to 2019.Other recognizable characters voiced by Kane include the smart monkey Darwin on "The Wild Thornberrys," Lord Monkey Fist on "Kim Possible," Woodhouse on the animated series "Archer," and Mr. Herriman on "Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends." Kane's voice was also used on numerous video games, including the "Call of Duty" franchise, "Harry Potter: Magic Awakened," "Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga," and "Marvel Future Revolution.""His voice became part of our lives, our memories, and the stories we carry with us," the statement from Galactic Productions says.
