Buechel Farmers Market returns to the Train Depot for second season
The weekly Buechel Farmers Market is back at the Train Depot for its second year, bringing fresh produce, local goods and Kentucky-made products to the community every Sunday through the fall.
Shoppers can explore 30 vendors offering everything from fruits and vegetables to handmade items and specialty Kentucky products.
New this year, dozens of vendors now accept SNAP benefits, helping expand access to fresh, local food.
"You come into the building, you get some wood tokens from me and you can spend those wood tokens throughout the market with approved vendors on approved products," said owner and operator Sadie Iovenko. "We’re increasing the business’s ability to reach more consumers, and we’re also increasing the consumer’s ability to access fresh local food, which you cannot always find at the grocery store."
The Train Depot Farmers Market is open every Sunday through October from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
