Kings one step closer to postseason after win over Dallas
After an 0-3 start, the Louisville Kings have bounced back to win five of their next six games.
On Sunday, the Kings beat Dallas 37-23 at Lynn Family Stadium to improve to 5-4.
Louisville took it's first lead on a Tanner Brown 35 yard field goal with :25 seconds left in the first half. They led 13-10 at the half.
Former Western Kentucky quarterback Austin Reed put the Renegades back in front with a 12 yard touchdown pass to Curtis Hodges with 13:52 left in the fourth quarter for a 17-16 Dallas lead.
The Kings answered, Chandler Rogers connected with Isaiah Winstead for a 40 yard touchdown with 12:20 left and the two-point conversion put Louisville on top 24-17.
Rogers added a 22 yard touchdown pass to Tarik Black with 3:39 left for the final margin.
Rogers finished 16-21 for 266 yards with two scores. Ian Wheeler rushed 13 times for 93 yards and a touchdown.
The loss eliminated Dallas (3-6) from the playoffs.
The Kings finish the regular season at Columbus (3-6) on Sunday, May 31, at 6 p.m. on FOX.
