Calling all cool cats: Louisville Bats hosting feline-friendly game at Slugger Field
The Louisville Bats are offering up a fun experience for feline-lovers at Slugger Field.
For the first time ever, the team is inviting cats (and their humans) to a new event called "Purr at the Park."
Fans are encouraged to bring their cats along for a night of baseball and furry friends.
Whether your cat is a seasoned window watcher or the type that judges you from across the room, this is their moment!
Human tickets will run you $10 in advance or $13 at the door. Cat tickets are $3, with proceeds benefiting the Kentucky Humane Society.
Gates open one hour before first pitch, and all cat owners must enter through the Witherspoon Street or Jackson Street gates.
Before heading inside, owners will need to sign a waiver confirming that their pet's vaccinations are up to date.
Once inside, all seating for the event will be first come, first served.
Cats must remain on a leash, in a carrier or in a stroller at all times. Officials say no free-roaming is allowed.
The game is set for Tuesday, May 26 at 6:35 p.m. The Bats will be playing against the St. Paul Saints.
Tickets for the game can be purchased in advance here.
