Shively Police have confirmed two women were killed in a crash early Sunday morning.Officials say around 6:20 A.M., Shively Police were called to the 3400 block of 7th Street Road on reports of a crash with injuries. When they got there, officers found two women in their early 20s who were pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the crash is under investigation. Shortly before the crash occurred, there was a shooting nearby in the 1700 block of Berry Boulevard.Police said they don't believe these incidents are related because they did not see any "obvious gunshot wounds" on the victims in the car, but it'll be up to the autopsy to make any final determinations.The 3400 block of 7th Street Road was closed in both directions for an extended period of time as crews conducted their investigation , but the roadway has since reopened.
