A woman who was critically injured in a head-on collision earlier this month in Nelson County has died, according to an update from officials.The crash happened May 17 on Highway 245 near the Handy Food Mart in Bardstown.Police said 79-year-old Edward Hovan died at the scene.His passenger was hospitalized in critical condition following the crash, but officials now confirm she has died from those injuries. Her identity has not yet been released.The driver of the other vehicle, Teudis Hernandez, 51, sustained minor injuries in the crash.He's now facing several charges including murder, assault and driving under the influence.He remains behind bars in Nelson County.
